This is the short version: Eddie is designed so that what's on your phone stays on your phone whenever we can manage it. When something does need to go to the cloud — usually because you asked Eddie a question that needs research or a quick answer — we send only what's necessary and keep no record of it on our side.
When you create an account, we keep your email address and the name you chose for your helper. We keep your subscription status so we know what features to give you.
When Eddie is running, your phone may store its own copy of recent notifications and a small memory file describing things you've told Eddie. These stay on your phone.
We do not collect the content of your notifications, your messages, or your conversations with Eddie. We do not store transcripts of what you said. We do not keep copies of any AI responses Eddie spoke aloud to you.
When you ask Eddie something that requires looking up information on the internet, the question itself is sent to Google's AI service through our backend. Our backend verifies you are a paid subscriber and forwards your question. The response comes back to your phone. Nothing about that question or its answer is saved on our servers or used to improve any AI system.
Nobody from our company reads your messages or your Eddie conversations. We do not sell information to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. We do not share information with social media platforms.
The only times we might disclose limited account information are if we are legally required to (a court order, for example) or if you specifically ask us to (such as when transferring an account).
Your account stays active as long as you keep using Eddie. If you cancel, we keep your account information for 90 days in case you change your mind, then delete it. You can ask us to delete everything immediately by emailing [email protected].
